The Red Cross is putting a tornado warning inside your pocket. To coincide with National Severe Weather Preparedness Week the American Red Cross has launched its official Tornado App. It's a free app for the iPhone, iPad and Android smart phones which includes instant access to local and real-time weather information before, during and after a tornado. Kelly Hudson with the American Red Cross of West Michigan says this isn't the first app made available by the organization.
When the storm is over an 'all clear' alert is given to let you know the warning has expired or been canceled. Hudson says to search American Red Cross in your app store to purchase the free app.
