TAKE 25 Event Planned In Berrien Springs

Talk to your kids for 25-minutes, that's all the National Center for Missing Exploited Children encourage you to do to prepare them to stay safe. TAKE 25 is a national child safety campaign with a goal to heighten awareness about child safety issues. It was created to commemorate Missing Children's Day, observed each year on May 25. Locally the Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police Department will partner with Berrien Springs High School to put on an event this Thursday at Mars Elementary School. Cheif Rick Smiedendorf says they'll explain the Community Child Watch program.

Any resident in the school district is invited to the 6 p.m. event. The High School's Child Development class will serve 'walking tacos' to residents.
