It's been a week and there's still no sign of the suspect in the beating of a Lakeside woman on July 13. Police say 61-year-old Ann Dawson has been released from the hospital and is recovering with relatives, but they have yet to make an arrest. Investigators say a man in his 20s broke into her home, tied her up, beat her nearly to death and stole money before fleeing her home in the 8700 block of East Road. He is described as white, skinny and around five-feet-seven to five-feet-eight inches tall. Anyone with information is urged to call Michigan State Police, Chikaming Township Police or the Berrien County Sheriff's Department. Dawson was found about eight hours after the attack by her brother.
