An Eau Claire High School student is in custody after a bomb threat at his school this morning. Officials evacuated Eau Claire High and Middle Schools after someone called the Berrien County Sheriff's Department this morning saying a bomb was about to go off at the high school. Eau Claire Superintendent Mark Costello says he's pleased with how school officials moved the students to the nearby Student Activity Center.
Costello says there was never a bomb inside the school. And he says the person who may have made the threat is now in police custody.
Costello says the male suspect is a student at Eau Claire High School. There's no information on what kind of charges the student may face. We'll bring your more information as the story develops.
