A Hartford man is in jail after fleeing authorities Sunday afternoon. A deputy on patrol in Hartford Township came across a red Jeep Wrangler being driver by a man that was known to be a suspended driver. The driver failed to stop for deputies and sped off. The suspect ran several stop signs then crashed through a cattle gate at 66th Avenue and 60th Street. The suspect ran into the woods holding an unknown object in his hands. A K9 unit was called to help. K9 Temo tracked the suspect down next to some trees, he was taken into custody. Deputies later located a meth lab that the suspect had fled from in the vehicle. The 33-year old is lodged in the Van Buren County Jail awaiting arraignment.
