Michigan State Police are looking for a driver that cut off another vehicle Wednesday morning on northbound I-196 in Hagar Township. 56-year-old Mary Helmstetter of Holland told police she had to lock up the brakes on her SUV to prevent a collision when the other vehicle merged right in front of her, and that caused it to flip several times. She and her passenger were taken to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph with minor injuries. Witnesses told police the other vehicle involved had Illinois plates, but that driver did not stop to help out. State Police have not provided us with the make or model of that vehicle, or any further description other than the plates.
