There were some scary moments for students at E.P. Clarke Elementary School in St. Joseph as they headed to school this morning. Their bus and another vehicle collided as the bus was making a turn, but St. Joseph Public Schools business manager John Ruddell says there were no injuries.
The bus and the other vehicle collided at the intersection of Washington and Vineland around 10 a.m. The bus was running at that time because the district was in a two-hour delay for teacher inservice sessions, and the students were loaded onto a different bus to continue on to school. The bus driver was given a ticket for an improper turn, as St. Joseph Township Police say the other vehicle was stopped when the bus ran into it, knocking it back about 20 feet.
