Sinkhole Closes Red Arrow South Of Sawyer

A sinkhole on Red Arrow Highway has prompted a full closure of the road south of Sawyer. The Berrien County Road Commission is working to make the repairs, and says the hole is 8 to 10 feet deep under the center two lanes. A detour is posted from Sawyer Road to Three Oaks to Warren Woods. It's hoped that Red Arrow will be opened back up either later this evening or by noon on Friday. It's blamed by water running through a large calvert under the road.
