Berrien County Medical Examiner Dr. Robert Clark has ruled the death of an Indiana man who fell off a balcony at Silver Beach Hotel on August 31 a suicide. David Ginter was 38 years old and was more than four-times the legal limit drunk when he jumped. The information comes from a 13-page report obtained by the "Herald-Palladium" through the Freedom of Information Act, as St. Joseph Public Safety has not released any information publicly on the man's death. Ginter and his girlfriend had an argument earlier in the evening, and she told investigators it was because he was drunk. She was in the bathroom at the time of his death and had not been drinking. Witnesses heard no arguing from their room, and told police Ginter didn't made a sound as he fell. Indiana police say Ginter had attemped suicide once before.
