Senator Proos Blasts White House Inaction On Keystone, Asian Carp

Senator John Proos is speaking out concerning his frustration with the federal government. Specifically, Proos is blasting President Obama on a pair of topics, with one being federal inaction on protecting the Great Lakes from invasive Asian carp.


The locks in question are in the Chicago River water system. Proos is also taking the White House to task for not approving the Keystone XL pipeline.lawmakers from both parties banded together in Lansing this week to push President Obama and Secretary ofJohn Kerry to approve the flow of oil from Canadian tar sands to the United States.


A factory in Niles makes parts for the pipeline, which has been under construction for years on both sides of the U.S./Canadian border.
