The kickoff event for the 2013 Berrien County Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society is fast approaching. Denise Bohn is the public relations and marketing chair for the event and says they'll be getting together with established teams and people who want to start a team next week.
The 24-hour Relay for Life is scheduled for Saturday June 22 and Sunday, June 23 at the Berrien County Youth Fairgrounds in Berrien Springs, and it's not a "doom-and-gloom" sort of thing.
Bohn says they welcome people looking to start new teams, and suggests they have at least five people for that. If you don't have five people, feel free to show up at the kickoff event next Thursday and ask about joining an already-established team.
