32 degree water with chunks of ice in it. That's what state lawmakers jumped into for the annual Polar Plunge on the lawn of the state Capitol Thursday afternoon as they raised money for Special Olympics Michigan. Representative Al Pscholka of Stevensville won the award for best costume, and as a result, jumped in last.
Pscholka was in a shark outfit, and swam a lap in the water with a toy fish in his mouth. He had a goal of raising around $1,000 this year, and said he's very pleased to have been able to well outdistance that projection.
