If you are on welfare and your child doesn't show up for school, you're not getting your check. That's what a bill introduced yesterday by State Representative Al Pscholka says. House Bill 4388 would suspend welfare benefits to parents of children who are repeatedly truant. The Stevensville Republican says "the primary goal of the bill is to help ensure that children in our state are given every opportunity to have a successful and prosperous life. Pscholka is calling the bill the "Parental Responsibility Act."
