A town hall meeting is set for Thursday, May 1 concerning the Orchard Hill Landfill in the Coloma and Watervliet areas. State Representative Al Pscholka is hosting the discussion at the North Berrien Senior Center in Coloma at 7 pm. Pscholka says people in the area deserve to know what's being done to address the smells coming out of the landfill. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has been working with Orchard Hill to minimize the problems with the smells filling the air. Pscholka says he's hoping the town hall will answer questions that have been coming in to his office and help people understand that plans are in the works to try to cut down on the stench of the landfill.
