Proos Votes To Support Three Natural Resources Trust Fund Projects In Southwest Michigan

The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved legislation allocating over $27-million for the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund to natural resources improvement projects across Michigan.

Senator John Proos says part of that money would fund three projects in Southwest Michigan. $150,000 would go toward land acquisition at Kruger Road Park in New Buffalo Township. $114,000 would help acquire land for Love Creek County Park in Berrien County. And $300,000 would make improvements at Union Field Park in Benton Harbor. The legislation now heads to the full Senate, which is expected to approve it on Tuesday.
