State Senator John Proos says the stalled Keystone XL pipeline is important for national security and for jobs. The Senate passed his resolution last week calling on President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry to approve the pipeline from Canada.
The St. Joseph Republican made his comments this morning on the syndicated "Michigan's Big Show" with Michael Patrick Shiels. Proos said a realistic approach to energy sources needs to be taken, saying until renewable sources become more financially viable, we should be using domestic and Canadian oil supplies. He says he's all for using geothermal, solar, wind and other alternative energy sources, provided the prices keep coming down.
