There has been some concern popping up throughout Berrien County over the past several days about someone going to people's homes, claiming to be from Comcast and saying he needs to do an audit of their equipment. A Bridgman woman's Facebook status was shared over 1,100 times after she got spooked by the visit, in which the man drove up to her home in what she described as a beat-up black car. Other reports from Coloma indicate the same man was there, but with a Comcast sticker on the vehicle. Bridgman Police Chief Willie Mays tells WSJM News the man is a legitimate subcontractor for Comcast and the company is working on upgrading equipment. Our calls to Comcast for comment and clarification about what vehicles their employees and subcontractors should be driving have not yet been returned.
