The city of Saint Joseph this week granted an extension to a Planned Unit Development Permit for the developer of the Jefferson Estates project. Jefferson Estates LLC owner Steve Kollar says it's a condominium complex being built out of the old Jefferson Elementary School on State and Wallace:
Kollar had asked the city commission to extend his project's permit for 36 months, as he says that earlier hurdles with the project have now been cleared, and financing just came through. However, commissioners instead agreed to extend his permit for one year -- at their next meeting, assuming that a tax payment from the developer is received in the meantime.
