Kane Reeves will stand trial on new charges of assault with intent to murder and first degree home invasion for an attack on his girlfriend in Paw Paw Township in October. A Van Buren County judge ruled Wednesday after a preliminary hearing there is enough evidence for a trial, and the 22-year-old suspect remains behind bars. The victim, Mary Teske, testified about the attack. She was covered in blood when a witness saw her being dragged back into the house on October 10th and will need reconstructive surgery on her face. If convicted, Reeves faces the possibility of spending up to the rest of his life in prison.
