Old Navy Closing in Benton Harbor

A national retail chain's Benton Harbor location is closing this week. The Old Navy store in the Fairplain Plaza is set to close this Saturday the 23rd. Our newsroom heard a rumor late last week it would be closing so we contacted the stores corporate office, they didn't get back with us until today. They say, quote, "We are constantly evaluating our store fleet to ensure we have the right locations to best serve our customers. Unfortunately the decision to close a store is always a difficult one with a number of factors that impact the decision." As for their employees, Old Navy says they will help them find positions at nearby stores.
