A 17-year-old from Niles could face charges for a fatal hit-and-run in South Bend on Monday. Mishawaka Police Captain Tim Spencer spoke to our newsgathering partners at WNDU NewsCenter 16 shortly after they found the suspect's car parked near the old YMCA building in Niles, next to his home.

The teen allegedly drove off after hitting and killing 49-year-old David Fordyce as he was trying to wave traffic away from the body of another man killed by a truck that had stopped at the scene. The accident happpened at the intersection of Indiana State Road 933 and Auten late Monday night. The teen's name is not being released due to his age, and no charges have yet been filed against him in Indiana.
