New Restaurant Coming To South Haven

Small plates and martinis will be the specialties for a new restaurant set to open this spring in South Haven. Joel and Heidi Gasiakowski are putting a new restaurant in the former location of Harborside Bistro, where they met in 2006. That restaurant closed at the end of the 2010 tourist season, and they are renovating the building now for their restaurant, to be called Taste. The couple, both in their 30s, have worked in the restaurant industry their entire adult lives and are thrilled to have the location just off South Beach. There will be three levels for the dining area and capacity for up to 180 people. The plans are to keep the restaurant open year-round, with shorter hours in the winter.
