A blood donation from one person can help save the lives of up to three others, and the American Red Cross is asking Southwest Michigan residents to step up and help this Christmas season. The Red Cross says that blood donations tend to go down in the winter, so it's scheduled several drives in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties in the coming weeks. One is happening this Thursday, the 17th, at the Watervliet Knights of Columbus. There are also two scheduled for next Tuesday in Dowagiac and Mattawan, with several others planned for the rest of the month. To find out more, go to www.redcross.org .
