For veterans that want to start up a new business or get a refresher on running their current one, starting next month Michigan Works' is hosting a free business course. Venture Plan Entrepreneurial Training is an intensive eight week program to help attendees evaluate business opportunities, develop a plan of action and take the steps needed in growing their business. Business Consultant Bob Jones says the courses cover everything needed to know in running a business.
The cost of the class is normally $700, but it's being subsidized by Michigan State University, making it free for veterans and only $180 for non-veterans. An orientation is planned for February 13th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Benton Harbor Michigan Works' office.
