Michigan Gas Utilities Urging Customers To Get Caught Up On Payments

Michigan Gas Utilities is calling on customers who are behind on their bills to get caught up soon. The utility did not shut off service to any customers over the winter months, but external affairs manager Nick Krzeminski says that reprieve is now over.

MGU field technicians will not accept payments on site when they're shutting off natural gas service. In 2013, the utility disconnected service to around 6,000 customers around the state, which Krzeminski says is about average.
