The ninth annual Magical Ice Festival is coming up this weekend in downtown St. Joseph. Jill Stone, the executive director of St. Joseph Today, joined WSJM's Brenda Layne for a preview of the main event every year - the ice carving competitions.
The carvers who come to town are taking part in a sanctioned competition through the National Ice Carving Association. There are also events at the Shadowland Ballroom on Friday night and other locations throughout town.
The Magical Ice Festival is slated for Friday through Sunday.
