A head-on crash in Hartford Township has taken the lives of a man and woman from Watervliet. The Michigan State Police responded to the collision along Red Arrow Highway near 70th Street around 10:30 Thursday morning. A 66 year old man with a 91 year old woman passenger was driving a 2007 Honda. He collided head-on with a Ford Escape, driven by a 70 year old man from Hartford. The wreck happened east of 70th Street near Four Winds Casino. It caused traffic on Red Arrow to be re-routed for several hours. The occupants of the Honda were rushed to Lakeland Hospital where they were pronounced dead. The Hartford man is in stable condition. The crash investigation is ongoing.
