There will be a new fire truck in Lincoln Charter Township, but voters rejected an operating millage for the fire department yesterday. Township Supervisor Dick Stauffer summed it up this way...
Stauffer says the fire department will soon start working on bidding out the new fire truck and adds it could take six to nine months to prepare that effort. He says there has been no decision yet on whether or not to go back to voters with the operating millage again. That would have paid for improvments at the fire station and provided more money to pay the expanded fire department roster.
