Lawmakers May Revisit Fireworks Law



There is starting to be some talk about revisiting Michigan's newly-relaxed fireworks laws. State Senator Tonya Schuitmaker says there have been plenty of complaints about local governments not being allowed to keep their noise ordinances in place over the July 4th holiday.

State Representative Marcia Hovey-Wright of Muskegon has also said she regrets voting for the fireworks legislation. Governor Snyder has caught some slack for not banning the use of private fireworks over the holiday due to the heat wave and the extremely dry conditions across the state.
