The Superintendent of Lakeshore Public Schools is again thanking residents for renewing the district's sinking fund during last week's election. The district has a number of projects lined up over the next decade to utilize the fund, including mechanical equipment replacement, energy efficiency improvements, and replacing the gym floor at the high school. Not only will the fund support building upgrades, it also helped reduce the amount of last year's bond proposal. Passage of the sinking fund did not increase taxes.
