Lakeshore Public Schools will hold a press conference Friday morning to talk about a proposed construction bond project. The proposal will be on the May ballot. A public forum is scheduled for Monday night at 7 pm at the Lakeshore High School cafeteria, where the Lakeshore Vision 2013 Committee will share information about what they're asking from taxpayers. One initiative will pay to repair and update existing facilities, including making some security improvments, while the other bond proposal will pay to expand classroom sizes to allow for new learning activities with small group discussions, demostrations and lectures. The second plan calls for the construction of a new elementary school on land the district already owns in Baroda. WSJM will have a reporter at Friday's event, with coverage coming tomorrow afternoon.
