"We are exceptionally pleased with all that Phil has accomplished in his very short time here at Lakeshore." Those are the words of Board President Mark Whitwam after Superintendent Phil Freeman received his performance review last week. In their evaluation, the board pointed to the positive impact on the culture of the district. They suggest it's due to Freeman's high visibility in the community, also his open and honest ways of communication. Freeman, who was hired in November, was also praised for his work in managing the 2013 Bond projects. Going forward, Freeman and the board agree an increased focus is needed on budget issues. Whitwam says Freeman and the board are already in the process of setting goals for the coming year.
