Joique Bell Talks To WSJM About His Upcoming Football Camp May 31

Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell is preparing for his football camp in Benton Harbor later this month. The Benton Harbor native says the event keeps getting bigger.

Bell says in addition to learning about on-field techniques, the students who attend will get a lesson in moving on if they've got the talent to do so.

Now in its fourth year, Bell's annual event started as a celebrity basketball game, with the football camp added in 2012 and a cheerleading and dance camp added last year.

Felicia is one of the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders who will be on hand to help run the cheer camp for the second year.

The football and cheer camps will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at Benton Harbor High School on Saturday, May 31, with the celebrity basketball game from 6 to 8 pm at the high school. Bell will be joined by Lions teammates including Reggie Bush and Calvin Johnson and fellow Benton Harbor native Wilson Chandler of the Denver Nuggets as they take on a team of high school students. That team will consist of two players each from Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Lakeshore, Berrien Springs and Lake Michigan Catholic. Admission for the celebrity basketball game is $10, and the girls who take part in cheer camp will join the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders for a show at halftime. Registration for the camp can be done online at
