Jill Stone is preparing to take control of St. Joseph Today. She will start as the organization's executive director on October 1st, coming to the job from Perry Ballard in St. Joseph. WSJM News asked Stone what attracted her to the position.
Stone takes over for Brian Smith, who had been the interim director after Tyanna Weller was dismissed in January. He will remain with the organization and continue to handle event planning, as he had been doing previously. Stone was selected last week and was introduced before the St. Joseph Downtown Development Authority Wednesday afternoon. She is a graduate of Oakland University in metro Detroit.
