Interim Superintendent Hired By District

The Coloma school system has a new interim superintendent. Former Lakeshore schools superintendent Gary Campbell was hired by the district at a rate of $500 a day for each day he works. Campbell served as interim superintendent of Covert schools until a new district leader was hired about a year ago. He'll stay with Coloma schools until a new full-time superintendent is found. The "Herald-Palladium" reports current super Terry Boguth is leaving next month to become chief finance officer of Coldwater schools. The school system will begin accepting applications Friday for the superintendent job. The deadline to apply is September 12. The Coloma school board expects to have a new district leader in place by mid-October.
