The 3rd Annual Harbor Classic Marching Band Competition is set for next weekend in Benton Harbor. Benton Harbor High School Tiger Marching Band director James Jones says they're bringing in bands from East Cleveland and Dayton, Ohio along with Oak Park, Michigan.
It will be held next Saturday, October 13 at Filstrup Field. Tickets are five dollars in advance and will go up to eight bucks on the day of the show. Jones says the event is a fundraiser for the Tiger Marching Band, and he says given the current financial difficulty of the district, it's a needed boost. If it's raining next Saturday, the competition will be moved inside to the Farnum Gym at Benton Harbor High School.
