Green Light Given For Construction At Lakeshore HS

Bond project construction bids have been approved by the Lakeshore school board for work at the High School. Over $14-million worth of renovation and expansion will begin sometime in the next two weeks. Superintendent Phil Freeman says this will bring classrooms into the 21st century.

Freeman says teaching techniques have changed, students are no longer sitting in rows reading off the blackboard. He says the renovations will help students better adapt to these changes.

Which isn’t that big of change from how they are already learning.

35 contracts were approved this week. The work is scheduled to be finished sometime after the summer of 2015.
