Gas Prices Up On Middle East Tensions

International tensions are getting blamed for gas prices going up around the state in the past week. Triple-A Michigan spokeswoman Nancy Cain says all eyes right now are on Israel.

Listen:

As a result, our prices statewide have risen about four-cents a gallon to an average of just under $3.57. In St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, we're slightly lower at $3.55. To get the cheapest prices, you'd have to be in Saginaw and Bay City, where they're paying roughly $3.50. Cain says we're paying 34-cents more per gallon than we paid last year at this time, and she is not expecting a dip due to the Middle East tensions.
