Over the past month, our average gas prices in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor have fallen by nearly 20 cents a gallon. Triple-A Michigan's Nancy Cain says the statewide average to start the week is $3.88 per gallon, a drop of just over two cents from last week.
At this time last year, though, we were paying at least 50 cents less per gallon. Locally we're paying just under $3.86 per gallon to fill up.
