Fundraiser Sunday By North Berrien FD, Pepsi For Cancer Victim

A fundraiser is being held Sunday morning by Pepsi and the North Berrien Fire Department for Ben Flowers and his family. Flowers is a 32-year-old Pepsi employee and is fighting stage 4 colon cancer, which has spread to his liver since being discovered 10 months ago. He has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments twice a month, and while the results have been good, the costs can add up quickly. Flowers has two children under the age of three. North Berrien Fire and Pepsi will host a pancake breakfast with raffle prizes and a 50/50 drawing from 7 am to 2 pm Sunday at the fire station at 170 Washington Street in Coloma. All proceeds will go to the family. Several fundraisers have been held for Flowers and his family since the cancer was discovered. More information about his cancer fight can be found at
