Fred Upton Argues Environmentalists Over XL Pipeline



Top Canadian officials continue to push the controversial Keystone XL pipeline to U.S. lawmakers. Environmentalists have been hounding the Obama administration to veto the project over concerns that it will have a major, negative effect on global warming, but as Congressman Fred Upton argues, the alternative is worse.

Canadian Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver says the pipeline that would link the Alberta oil sands with Texas would create thousands of jobs in both countries and will help reduce North American reliance on oil imports from Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.
