Former Crystal Springs Cemetery Board Chair Arrested

Former Crystal Springs Cemetery board chairman Thom Golba is facing embezzlement charges. The Berrien County Sheriff's Department says Golba was arrested today after a two-month investigation and pled not guilty at his arraignment. The 42-year-old is accused of distributing more than one-thousand dollars of the cemetery's money without the approval of the board. The money came from his sale of scrap metal in May that was in the cemetery office building. Golba was freed on a personal recognizance bond and is due back in court on October 31st.
