Former BH Principal Put On Leave in Nevada

An elementary school principal in Nevada is on a leave of absence after Washoe County school officials learned he's on parole for embezzling more than $26,000 from a school fund when he was a principal in Benton Harbor.    District officials didn't know until they got a tip this week that Andrew Stansberry, Moss Elementary principal since 2011, admitted stealing from a fund for field trips, retirement gifts and school supplies in the Benton Harbor School District from 2007-09.    School District Police Chief Mike Mieras told the Reno Gazette-Journal if it had shown in a background check, he probably wouldn't have been considered for a job.
