A state fire marshal is investigating the cause of a blaze in Van Buren County that killed three people. Bangor Fire Chief Derek Babcock says that responders from five departments were called to the scene at one-eleven North Center Street early on Thursday morning:

According to the Associated Press, relatives and friends have identified the victims as David and Cindy Hoaglin, and their 15 year-old daughter, Chelsea. Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the third was pronounced dead at South Haven Community Hospital. Family friends tell the Kalamazoo Gazette that efforts are under way to bring home the Hoaglins' son, Jestin, who is serving in the military in Iraq.
