The Saint Joseph School Board has approved a new one year contract with the district's teachers. Superintendent Ann Cardon tells us that the 154 teachers will make a bit of a sacrifice by giving back part of their scheduled pay increases to help Saint Joe Schools reduce its deficit:
Cardon thanked the teachers for understanding the fiscal position that Saint Joe Schools is in, and taking a hit for the team. She says that the plan allows the district to get back to focusing on the education of students, and not on the finances.
