Concours d'Elegance Donates To Hospice At Home

A down payment of $7,100 has been made by the Concours d'Elegance to Hospice at Home. The vintage car show of Southwest Michigan made the payment as part of a pledge totaling $25,000. This is the first donation Concourse has made to Hospice at Home, and is the single largest in Concours history. The money will be used to sponsor a room at the new Merlin and Carolyn Hanson Hospice Center in Lincoln Township. The center opened last fall and has 16 private rooms, with space for family members to stay overnight or to gather near a loved ones. Organizers hope to double the donation amount next year. The 10th annual Concours d'Elegance will take place August 9. Organizers say Chevrolet Corvettes and Ford Mustangs will receive special attention at the 2014 show in St. Joseph.
