Concerts Announced For Berrien County Youth Fair



The Grandstand acts for this summer's Berrien County Youth Fair are some of the biggest in years. American Idol winner Scotty McCreery will headline on Wednesday, August 13. He won the 10th season of the Fox show and has won best new artist awards from the CMT Awards, American Country Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards. The fair's entertainment director Mark Young says McCreery will be followed on Thursday, August 14 by 90s country star Travis Tritt.

Tritt has three CMA Awards and two Grammy's under his belt and is touring to support the re-release of an album from 2007. On Friday, August 15, "Big Hair at the Fair" brings Winger with opening acts Firehouse and Gun Shy to Berrien Springs. Winger landed a pair of Top 20 hits with power ballads in 1989 and 1990. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 12. Prices range from $22 to $43 for McCreery, $16 to $38 for Tritt and $11 to $22 for Winger.

97.5 Y-Country is presenting the country shows with sponsorship from Honor Credit Union for McCreery's show, while Rock 107 WIRX is behind the Friday night rock show.
