Community Forum Scheduled To Address Neighborhood Concerns

Are you tired of loud music, loitering, or juvenile problems in your neighborhood? If so, Benton Harbor's Acting Director of Police Services has set up a community forum. A series of neighborhood forums addressing gang activity and juvenile problems begins this Thursday on Benton Harbor's south side.

Acting Director Dan McGinnis will host the gathering at 5:30 p.m. this Thursday at Sterne Place Apartments, the old Sterne Brunson School. Though he wants to focus on the south side of town, like the May Street and East Empire corridors, McGinnis says all residents are welcomed to attend.

He says gang activity is on the rise and needs to be addressed. McGinnis says Thursday's meeting will be the first of many to dig-up problems and find solutions throughout Benton Harbor's neighborhoods.
