Commissioner Seats Disapproves Of Noel's Article

A recently published article written by Whirlpool Corporation's Corporate Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs is getting a bad reception from a Benton Harbor City Commissioner. Duane Seats says Jeff Noel's article, which was printed in the "Lansing State Journal," was a slap in the face to the City.

The article, "Benton Harbor Rebuilds Despite Naysayers," covers accomplishments made over the last few years within the city. It cites development of the Arts District, construction of Harbor Shores Golf Club, and clean up to Jean Klock Park along Lake Michigan. Seats says the City wasn't given credit where credit is due for working with local organizations to establish these accomplishments.

The Boy's and Girl's Club was one of the accomplishments listed, along with development of Whirlpool's downtown campus, and construction to the Inn at Harbor Shores. Seats continues.

The Inn, Noel says, is the first hotel constructed along the Lake Michigan coast in over five-years.
