As the door begins to close on Joseph Harris's tenure as Benton Harbor Emergency Financial Manager some city commissioners are speaking out. After Harris's press conference Wednesday afternoon, Commissioner Trenton Bowens says the city can now turn a new leaf.
During Harris's time as EFM, the relationship between he and the commission was not solid. Commissioner Sharon Henderson says not seeing eye to eye on many topics caused communication to break down.
It was announced last week, Tony Saunders II will take over for Harris as Emergency Financial Manager effective February 1st.
